Become an EPA Certified Renovator by successfully completing our one-day 8 hour Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) course. Certification is for five (5) years.

EPA requires the initial training class to be a minimum of 8 hours, of which 2 hours consist of hands-on exercises. Upon successful completion and passing a 25-question test, you will be a Certified Lead Renovator. Your credentials will be mailed to you shortly thereafter.

Participants will receive the 220-page Student Manual in hardcopy form, plus a CD-ROM containing the Student Manual as well as Renovate Right, OSHA's Lead In Construction, Small Entity Compliance Guide booklets and the Contractors Lead Safety During Renovation  brochure.

Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair and Painting: 8 Hour course ($250.00 or $225 for LCPIA members and their W-2 employees) (more information)

Any contractor who disturbs lead paint while working in a pre-1978 home, school or day care center, must have at least one certified lead-safe employee at the job site. This 8 hour course includes lead safe work practices, dust control and cleaning verification.

After you register you will receive detailed instructions. You must bring a current photo ID to class.

In the event that we cancel an event, a 100% refund will be issued or attendees can choose to apply their registration fees to another event.
